"Why do bad things happen to good people?"
"Why does my life crumble around me, no matter how hard I try?"
Mankind is caught in a cycle of destructiveness, where good intentions continually go sour. Despite our best efforts we cannot be or do good enough. In fact, God, who designed human nature, has said that there is no good man, not even one.
The problem is that there is a force at work in our world called sin, and it continually works to draw us away from God and His righteousness.
That same God wants to clear away the brokenness by speaking words of hope and purity through His Son Jesus.
John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
God is holy, just and loving. He created us and wants us to be with Him forever. The problem is sin - the bad things we do keep us apret from our holy and just God. He had a plan though: God came to earth in the form of a person - Jesus Christ. Jesus lived and walked among us and willingly gave up His life dying a horrible death on the cross to pay the penalty for all of our sins. He rose from the dead after 3 days proving He is indeed God.
When we believe and trust that Jesus died for our sins (accepting the forgiveness He offers and deciding to follow Him), Jesus promises to forgive us and give us eternal life.
If you need to be forgiven and at peace with God, just talk to Jesus. Tell Him that you are a sinner and you need His salvation. Ask Him to forgive you, change you and come into your life to be your Savior and Lord.
