Week 1 - Hermeneutical Rule #1 - You must understand what a passage says before you can understand what it means.
Week 2 - Hermeneutical Rule #2 - Scripture has only 1 meaning.
Week 3 - Hermeneutical Rule #3 - Always work from the premise that all Scripture is inspired by God and is without error.
Week 4 - Hermeneutical Rule #4 - The Bible interprets itself; Scripture best explains Scripture.
Week 5 - Hermeneutical Rule #5 - Always interpret a word or a passage in relation to its context.
Week 6 - Hermeneutical Rule #6 - When an expression is out of character with its context the statement may be considered figurative.
Hermeneutical Rule #7 - All Scripture, whether literal, figurative or symbolic communicates a single and tangible truth.
Week 7 - Hermeneutical Rule #8 - Consider only the principle parts of a parable when drawing doctrinal conclusions.
Week 8 - Hermeneutical Rule #9 - A doctrine cannot be considered Biblical unless it sums up and includes all that the Scriptures say about it.
Hermeneutical Rule #10 - Clearer passages of Scripture are always used to clarify more obscure passages, never vice versa.
Hermeneutical Rule #11 - An implied teaching may be considered Biblical when a comparison to related passages supports it.
Week 9 - Hermeneutical Rule #12 - Scripture is always the final court of appeal.
Hermeneutical Rule #13 - All commands to the New Testament Churches are authoritative to Christians of every generation.
